Dr. Diego F. Teatin brings over 16 years of classroom experience across three countries — Colombia, the United Kingdom, and the United States — and a deep conviction that language education changes lives.
A native of Colombia, he holds a Ph.D. in Education and Innovation, a Master's in TESOL, and a Bachelo

Dr. Diego F. Teatin brings over 16 years of classroom experience across three countries — Colombia, the United Kingdom, and the United States — and a deep conviction that language education changes lives.
A native of Colombia, he holds a Ph.D. in Education and Innovation, a Master's in TESOL, and a Bachelor's in Foreign Languages Teaching. He currently teaches IB French, Spanish, and French at schools in South Carolina, where rigorous academics and cultural awareness go hand in hand.
In 2026, Dr. Teatin serves as President of the South Carolina Foreign Language Teachers and Advocates (SCFLTA) and as District Lead for the Seal of Biliteracy program. He co-authored South Carolina's Spanish Heritage curriculum and is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, presenting on AI in education, CLIL/STEAM integration, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
Outside the classroom, he volunteers for Wisdom World Wide Global, a faith-based organization that connects Latin American educators with schools across the Southeastern United States, supporting them with housing and employment as they build new professional lives. He also gives his time to community service, working alongside organizations that build homes and support underserved families.

Experience:
I have been involved in every area of the real estate industry for over forty years. I have a wealth of experience in mortgages, sales, construction, property management, and consulting. As a real estate
broker I have had experience with HUD, VA, and Conventional loan processing.
My first project with HUD was the purchase of a package deal of 13 foreclosed houses to renovate. I have also renovated apartment complexes and managed them.
I worked with Whitney National Bank Community Development Corporation, and Jefferson Parish Louisiana to assist and counsel first time homebuyers in the process of purchasing a home. This entailed educating and qualifying them in the home buying process in order to receive government grant assistance.
I handle and partnered with several NFL players of the New Orleans Saints in Wingate Hotels. Built several subdivisions in the Jefferson and Orleans Parish area.
